MOBILE CHARGER

Battery mobile charger:

Here is an ideal mobile charger using 12V or 9V battery to charge mobile phone while traveling. It can replenish cell phone battery three or four times in places where AC power is not available.
Most of the Mobile phone batteries are rated at 3.6 V/500 mA. A 12V battery that i have used here can give 1.3Ah of current. When power is applied to the circuit through a input capacitor, IC L7805CV conducts (regulating IC)and Green LED lights.

The input voltage to IC will be of 12V and output voltage is 5V,this voltage is sufficient to charge the mobile,tabs etc.The IC stops conducting if the potential of battery falls below 7.2V.

Here i have used 10 micro farad capacitor at input and output of the IC and connected USB at the output of the IC with 100 ohms resistor to D+ and D- of the USB.The regulating IC regulates the voltage and it can regulate up to  50V.

See through that you put a good heat sink to the IC. This circuit can also work with 9V battery.
